New England early snowfall - C&C invited

    Hi,

This is part of a "project" to see what I can get out of images taken a while ago, as I learn to use PP software. There was an overnight snowfall at the start of October (in 2003) which slowly melted in the morning sun - it was a magical scene, but very hard to capture. This was one attempt. How would you improve it (if you thought it was worth it!):

Very nice image Dave, if it was me doing this and the image is a jpeg I would open the image in raw, adjust the white and highlights down and increase the blacks. to give soome more constract. Then using the individual colour sliders work on the colours that you do have. That is just me though, we all see things differently. Look forward to your adjustments in another post.

    Cheers:

    Allan

Hi Dave. You found an interesting subject to photograph and I like that there is a snow covering. The bright sunlight tends to pull my eye towards the background. I concur with Allan Short's recommendations. It should reduce the brightness of the background and put more emphasis on the fallen tree branch.
