    Great Blue Heron

    I was on a Kayak when I slowly drifted up to this magnificent bird. He began doing a little dance performance for me

    Excellent capture.

    I would suggest a bit more space at the top, bottom and left. With the current crop the bird seems trapped int there and is trying to escape.

    Being reasdy for the moment is so much what getting something like this is about. Well done. You've nailed the focus perfectly on the eye.

    Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately it is not a crop so there was little I could do. I slowly tried to get further away from the bird and got some other shots but this particular one was shot from very close.
    Here is another with a bit better framing.
