I really like the second one. It seems very nicely balanced, if that makes any sense.
Fascinating stuff, which shows it can be about more than just taking images and as much about learning about behaviours. Interestingly, I've become aware of more herons around and about here than previous. They are fun to watch...............some land above the nest and limb-walk in, and others fly straight in.
I completely understand
One step off my 20" x 30" platform and i'm dropping 30+ feet(30feet in the tree + tree on the edge of a steep slope.) I'm tied in though, so i won't go far
Can't wait till this spring to do it again. ( Wish i had a FF with a 600mm L lens.) It's an awesome place.........birds flying in and out all day long...........young squaking all day for food.
I didn't know much about photography or processing back then, but here are a couple images i got..................
steve bird pics are good and show lots of promise! hope he shoots some wild animals like a pride of lions well i detect that in all his birds pic, there is too much breathing space on the top, thats sort off ruining his pics to a extant........thts all
