    Black-crowned Night Heron

Hi fellows. This afternoon I was lucky enough to find this beautiful guy standing on a pole at the beach. C&C welcome. Regards...

Great captures Octavio. You are one up on me, I have only seen and photographed on flying overhead. A very elusive bird here.

I love these guys, I have a rookery nearby so watching them is a pastime. Lovely captures Otavio I'm fond of #2 I like the movement in the plummage.

Well done Otavio. This is one I have yet to see, if they are as spooky as our Green Heron....it may be a while yet. I like all three images and look forward to more.

Hello James. Thanks for viewing. Yes, luckily the camera was ready so that I got the chance to shoot him before he went away...

Hi Paul. Yes, these birds are very spooky. I shot the pictures when I was about 10 meters away from him. I tried to get even closer, but he flew away (#3). I´m glad you liked them and here is one more, as requested. Here is also a picture of the location I found him. Cheers!
