Beautiful shots. The second is my favorite. Getting the detail in the white feathers is always difficult. Capturing it in flight is really special.

A lovely set indeed, Joe. I especially like number 1 - for me the raised wings give a more graceful look, and the sharpness around the eye is excellent.

High quality stuff, Joe. You are really nailing these images.

I'm convinced that in the first one, the bird is giving you a sideways look as much as to ask, "What ya doin'?"

The translucence of the far wing on the White Ibis is stunning.

Thanks Chuck, I appreciate you taking time to view and comment. Regarding the second image... after many, many images I am getting better at knowing what light will work. As for birds in flight, like anything else the more one does it the better one becomes. I won't say how many images have found the bin.

Hello Donald, thank you for your comments. The Ibis in the first image was very close. It took off from the vegetation on the left, I swung the camera and got off two frames. I am sure it was looking at me as it flew away.
