splendid !
Unfortunately the image seems to have been moved within Flickr (that's the usual cause) and we can no longer see it as the link has been broken.
Can be seen from the direct link at the bottom of the missing image.
Just had a look at that - it is a really a splendid shot.
Great shot Dave. Lovely light over that "trademark" fog. I can almost hear Tony Bennett singing "that song".
Dave
As can be seen, I did an edit to locate the image into the message from it's present location on Flickr.
And, yes, it is indeed spectacular. One of those images that we've all probably dreamt of making.
Thanks so much for fixing this Donald, much appreciated!
Cheers,
Dave
Thanks for the feedback folks. And Richard, thanks for your feedback on the crop, much appreciated! I like both views, different feels. I'm definitely going to crop in a bit more, not sure I'll go this far. I guess I really like the fog
Cheers!
Dave
Thought I would chime in with my agreement on the great shot and Richard's version. Dave's version is very good, the foreground fog has enough texture and light to warrant inclusion but I feel the closer crop is slightly stronger.
thanks for the feedback Trevor! I've updated my original shot (above) with a tighter crop, but not quite as much as Richard's.
Fantastic shot Dave. I love it. Both crops are good, but I think I like Richard's better.
Hi Dave,
I like the revised crop version (a bit more than I liked the original).
To my mind, you need the depth (in yours) to feel 'comfortable' with the bridge; I find Richard's crop loses the bottom of the bridge piers where they meet the unseen water - am I making any sense?
Cheers,
I know what you mean Dave. I was thinking the same thing as I was trying different crops. I settled on the crop above as my preference, but I really like Richard's crop too (cleaner focus on bridge and city).
