    foggy dawn

well i'm glad i got up late this morning. or it would of been hard work driving in the fog.looking for a farm in the back and beyond of Downham market.the fog was just starting to lift as i got to this perfectly straight line of trees and and the gateway to a farm.

Paul; I like the first one; very evocative and moody. I think the black and white treatment works extremely well and the simple composition is perfect.

The second is good but the puddles in front draw my eye and I suspect it would be stronger without them.

Overall well worth waking up early

I too like the first. There is a bit of mystery there, not knowing or being able to make out just what the three objects in the fog are. A nice leading line allows you to find them and then....wonder. Nicely done.

    Re: foggy dawn

The first image is simpler but the composition doesn't quite work for me. The second one is more complexed and the foreground ponds seem to block my visual flow into it and along the farm road. If the ponds are cropped out so the image starts at the base of the mound the left tree is on then the picture really works for me.

As an aside I find there are far to many people claiming to be Paul on this site so it would be less confusing if the rest of you uses a different name.

    Thanking you all in advance,

    PAUL

I like both of them, although I do prefer the simplicity of the first. I tend to agree with previous posts, a bit of cropping would help the second image.
I love shooting in the mist, I would have been out myself yesterday, but I had to repair the shed roof after the storm earlier in the week.

Congratulations on your timing this morning. You had the glorious opportunity of being in the right place at the right time and then made all the correct choices to capture it. Well done, I enjoyed your photos.
