Thanks Griddi, Clive, Andre, Mike.
Yes, Mike with birds we can tell a story. Rather difficult to do that with bugs.
That said - it is amazing what this guy does with bugs - only ants though.

Re: Wash time
Thanks Bobo! I needed a good chuckle to start my day! You have a knack for finding wildlife actively engaged in daily life rather than just sitting there. I find that adds immensely to the interest of your images.

Re: Wash time
Thanks Frank, Steve.
Getting to know a bit about habits helps, as does patience. Missed an opportunity one day? Go back again. Birds are creatures of habit and after a while one gets to undertand what/when/where to look.

Re: Wash time
That series put a smile on my face. It's nice when the photos are not only great but tell a story too. Very cute!

Re: Wash time
Oh, I love the whole series. Of course, I'd prefer a tighter crop on the last one, but I know it's hard because of the positon of the bird.

Re: Wash time
oh yes, that looks very nice. I wasn't sure if it would work because of the leaf in the way, but it sure did. He looks extra fluffy --like he's been thru the spin and fluff cycle!
Nice detaiil.
Now you need to put him together in a long (4 x 12) type collage, showing the whole story. What a nice piece that would be framed. You and anyone who viewed it would enjoy it for years and years.
