    Looking up

A 25 second exposure, looking up at a wind tower in Bastakiya, Dubai:

Very nice shot indeed. I would have preferred non-hazy clouds to go with the sharpness of the building but that's just me...

I like the perspective, Phil. The structure is very clear and delineated. For me the clouds add a nice contrast to the building.

    Hi Phil,

Love it. However, "Perspective" of tower is slight short for me, and portrait/square crop might look better. Up to you.

If I really like something, are those three arches who looks like "portraits" .... but I don't like so much the left up dark corner.

Good work anyhow, and thanks for posting,

    Leo
    PS: 25sec... ND8-10 filter?

Thanks Bobo. Clouds are a rarity here so I tend to break out the ND filters when I see them. This was taken a year ago today but I just got round to processing! Oops!

Thanks Leo. When you're taking long exposures at a lower angle is is easier to predict the paths of the clouds. Not so easy when you're shooting nearly vertically. This was with a 10 stop ND and 3 stop ND stacked at f11 and ISO100. I had to zoom out a little to 29mm (on the 24-70mm f2.8) to avoid vignetting with the stacked filters, which usually goes away by around 27mm.
