..THIS would be it:
This composited photo is really about Photoshop's Pen Tool. I had always wanted to learn how to use it and, just recently, ran across a video tut which really opened up things, a bit, for me. I had watched many videos on this tool, but there was something that always escaped me about the Pen Tool. I would imagine that folks who have really had a relationship with the Pen Tool would see what I learned as taking a kindergarten kind of approach to using this tool. But it has worked for me, and is the opened door to all the wonders which lay ahead - regarding the usage of this tool.
This motorcycle is only my second attempt at isolating an element from its background, and I can't WAIT to find something else to put this tool to work at. The extraction of this motorcycle isn't anywhere near perfect, but it is a great start for me. I wish that I knew how best to treat the fairing so that the background could have shown through it. But that will come.

which tutorial did you look at that enlightened you?
. Personally, I have never ridden one, but had always heard that they were the best manufactured bikes. I have been a biker for 30+ years, but am presently without a mechanical stallion. I prefer cruisers, but thought that a sport cruiser might be somewhat cheaper to get into (hoping, that is, that I would be able to afford another bike, one day). There is NOTHING like traversing the countryside on a nice Spring/Summer day - with camera strapped on - on a motorcycle.
