    Finally - The elusive Butterfly

For months, I've been trying to capture butterflies. Either I'm without my camera, or they just won't still sit long enough, or they're in a position where I can't get close enough to try to take a picture.
Yesterday I finally got one that was cooperating - I just grabbed the camera and clicked, without even paying attention to settings. I was using the 18-55 kit lens.
Here are a few that came out fairly well - compared to the ones I've been trying for months!
A little soft, due to heavy cropping.

Well done, Kris. It is very satisfying when, at last, something come together, isn't it?

For me, the first one is the one you've really nailed. That one feels as it if could just lift off the screen.

They are very good for a kit lens Kris.

    Thanks Donald and Dave.
I don't really have a favourite in this set. I'm just glad I finally got my butterfly.
I'm still trying to get a dragonfly (they're always in the wrong place!) and a hummingbird. (Got a lot of pictures of the feeders)
