Very nice. Lately I've been trying to capture a similar scenario. The majority of our colorful foliage has passed, however there are isolated 'late' trees that are just amazing in the setting sun. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you so much everyone for such kind words... and yes Donald I did push the sky to the limits, glad it paid off.

I had planned to go back in a few weeks and capture the bare trees and then perhaps with snow on the ground but my other half tells me they are going to close the road to electrify the railway line.

Planning never works for me.

The majority of adjectives have already been used, for me it is just plain great. If you can't get back to photograph the trees then perhaps you could get some electrifying photos of the railway.
