    Gotham City at Dawn

The Burj Khalifa is visible in the distance, and other skyscrapers line the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai at dawn this morning

Absolutely terrific, Phil. Your best architectural image in my mind.

Incredible, I didn't realize space travel was that advanced. It is hard to believe that this is real. The BW image makes it all the more other worldly and impressive.

Thanks Mike, Donald and Serge. I've been kindly given some access and am just waiting for some fog now. We had a few days of fog last week and there should be some more along soon. That'll make for a cool image or two, from up on high.

    Thanks CLK.

This is a 3 shot blend using Exposure Fusion in Photomatix Pro, followed by some Color Efex and Silver Efex in photoshop. I'm trying to get some access lined up on a few other towers along this drag for the next round of foggy mornings

Great image Phil. The "geometry" works so well and gives a great sense of depth. And the cloud really gives this image some punch. An excellent composition.

    Gotham City at Dawn
It looks like a filmset; I think it has gone too far into fantasy, but noting that everybody else thinks it is fabulous. Just a little imperfection is needed somewhere to make it perfect.

Phil, nothing to add to everything that was said above. This is such a superb shot! Hard to believe it is a real world. It looks like an Asimov's idea adapted by J. Cameron in a Sci-Fi movie, if I can describe what I felt when I saw it. Fantastic!
    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys. I was unlucky that there was no fog, but when I drove to the location I noticed the light clouds, which help the image a lot. You very rarely get a sky like this here so I got lucky. If there are any more early mornings with light clouds and I'll try a 2 shot vertical panorama with my 24-70 and 10stop ND. The price of the filter option for the 14-24 is a little out of my league for the amount of times I'd use it!
