    How much more mast is there on the foremost boat? That is the critical point. You obviously don't want to have a lot more plain sky.

    If it is a gaff rig there probably isn't much more so the full length could be shown. But the tall mast on the left will probably still need to be cropped.

    I'm not much of a sailor, but they look like Bermuda rigs to me ...

    Probably because I was concentrating on the water ! Thanks for the comment - the mast heads should be in there really
