I like the shot. But the subject is cliched and everyone will demand something new or interesting from you.
I did prefer the B/W
It is on both accounts that you are right. Niagara Falls - as well as any highly rated tourist attraction - has been photographed a gazillion times. As such, there are many images of them floating around that will surely border upon the photographic concept of another. Indeed, I can remember - on the night that I took this shot - standing shoulder to shoulder with other photographers who were also aiming their gear at the same scene. I am certain that some of those shooters have a very similar photo resting within their stable of photographs. But what makes this shot special, to me, is the fact that "I" shot it .
Totally Agree! But what makes this shot special, to me, is the fact that "I" shot it .

I agree with you.
Nice image Nathan, and as Sharon wrote... I agree with your response.
Hi Nathan,
Lovely shot.I've not been to Niagra since I was a youngster.I can't get EXIF on the photo. At what focal length was this taken?
Thanks Jim.
According to Opanda (which I JUST downloaded), this shot was taken further back than I thought it had been (2008). I could have sworn that it was no more than two years ago. But, at any rate, here is some Exif data on my photo:
..................................................
Focal Length: 20mm
ISO: 1000
Exposure Time: 1/20"
F Number: F/3.5
Exposure Program: Shutter Priority
.................................................. ..
Thanks for looking - and for your nice comment, also.
Nathan,
Thanks for the info.
Being that close,no issues with mist from the falls collecting on the lens?
Don't rightly remember. Because of my close proximity I am up to the 'Falls very frequently and, more times than not, with my camera at hand. There are times when I have shot from the very same position, and felt light misting upon me. Other times - also at, or near the same location - when there was nothing to be felt at all. I love that place, because it is as beautiful, and as mesmerizing as it is majestic. I NEVER tire of venturing there with my sidekick (camera ). Hopefully, you will also get the opportunity to visit this wondrous location again.
It will be fun for sure but this side I would think every rock, blade of grass etc has bee photographed to death.
Go further up the falls a bit and past the car parks and there are lots of places / angles that are less "used". On a good day you might even catch 2 or more rainbows.
