Pity the camera got in the way! Nice to be able to put a face to a name. A lovely self portrait.

Sharon, as Brian said, it's nice to put a face to a name. Good to see you.

It's a nice portrait; a closeup might make a nice avatar.

    Hi Sharon,

I agree - nice self-portrait. On my screen it is looking about 2 stops under-exposed though (and the histogram seems to confirm it).

    Thanks guys.

Actually it was processed deliberately like that ..'triste' in SEP 2...for added 'gritty realism' lol

I got a tripod like that; but I don't look at all nice so I refrain from self portraits.

She might say: I still need the camera because it is the only reason anyone is talking to me.

I like the self portrait. Do you ever compose a self portrait in the mirror and then stand aside, so that your whole face can be seen? I tried some poses, but the one you show here seems to work best for a self portrait.

Well, I didn't like to say anything myself, but ..............................!!

We need to resurrect the self-portrait thread that ran on here a long time ago. On that one there was a magnificent image of the perfect physical specimen. But I've done other ones as well!

It's apparent, Colin, that you don't regularly follow Sharon's images. Otherwise, you would know that everything she does is done for a reason.

Apart from being a very creative person you also have the appearance of one Sharon.

    Wonderful self portrait.

Well as you have seen my face in other shots Mike you will know that despite my advancing years I am about as 'gritty' as Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm so if I want 'edgy' it needs to be in PP.

Well all I can say in that case Mike is - in my opinion anyway - it looked much better to me, when I brightened it up 2 stops and applied a small negative brightness correction.
