    Ahmad,
    with 600D and 24-105 + 70-200 you haven't wide angle lens since 24-105 on a crop camera is similar to a 24-105x1,6 on a full frame as 5D II.
    I think you should compare 600D +17-55 f/2.8 + 70-200 and 5D II with 24-105
    hope this helps
    cheers

    Depends on what you shoot! I have the 60d with 24-105L, 50 1.4, 100-400L and I primarily shoot wildlife, so getting the "extra reach" from the 1.6X crop on the long side makes it worth losing a bit of wide angle on the 24-20L side... Super lens, though.

    After years of shooting Canon, the 5D MkII is the best I've ever owned. The 24-105 was my "walking around" lens. The only reason I say "was" is because I switched out to the MkIII, which is fitted with the same 24-105 lens.

    As for the long lens, I had and used successfully the 70-200 f4 and tradede up to the 2.8. The 2.8 is much heavier, but the glass is fantastically sharp. The f4 is a very good lens tho.

    I'd most enthusiastically endorse and recommend the MkII.

    15-85 x 1.6 => 24-135
    17-55 x 1.6 => 27-88

    The 17-55/2.8 on a crop is more analogous to the 24-70/2.8L on a full frame.

    I agree with Sean that the 24-105 can still be useful on a crop, but it's designed for full-frame, you're paying extra for the full frame coverage, and on a 5D, the lens is a much much nicer fit, which is why it's the 5D's kit lens. There are times when the 24-105 does not go wide enough on a crop body, in my estimation. I enjoyed it on my 50D, but I love it sooo much more on the front of my 5Dii.

    Many thanks for all nice replies I got. I think after reading all replys I will go for 5D mark II. WITH 24-105 4l and save money for later purchase of 70 200 4l

    Specially there is a big deal now a days on mark II . I was dreaming to get mark III but 4k is tooooo much

    It sounds like you've already decided at this point, but I was wondering as I read this: lenses aside, what drives your preference for the 5D over the 600/T3i? If you have the means to acquire the 5D, then that's great. However, the 600D is a fantastic camera as well. When looking at the cameras, the 5D is probably more impressive. When looking at the images, the 600D and 5D are going to take equally good (or bad?) pictures for most situations. I generally recommend lenses first, with a body that is "appropriate" or "good enough" for a situation. There will be more bodies coming out soon; there are *always* new bodies coming out. The lenses tend to survive the trends over longer cycles of time.

    hi dasmith232

    the issue why i chose 5D is because i was planning to switch to FULL Frame format, most of the cases i shoot indoors, the noise result from using high ISOs gives me a very bad feeling. high image quality is my top priority . i was planning as yous said to get lenses first then to get the body later , but first i saw the price of mark iii which as i expect shall not drop even for coming two years that much. also i saw the specification of 6D which i feel it shall be like an expensive toy . and i knew about the price drop for 5D mark II and this drop shall continue until the stock last so this why i tried to catch one before it lasts which contradicts with my plans (get lens first then full frame body later). and i don't think that i will go for mark III because of the price (although i can pay for it) neither 6d. buying an EFs lens also not suitable for my plans to switch to FULL FRAME

    also i am looking for a weather sealed camera and lenses, i am living in UAE and the humidity is very high at summer which doesn't allow me to walk around with camera whole summer

    I agree with your decision. The 24-105mm focal length is a great range for a full frame camera.

    However, I strongly suggest that when you want to get a 70-200mm f/4L lens that you consider the IS version. I use my IS model 4-5x more often that I could ever use my previous non-IS version.

    Canon did do a 24-85 full frame lens which isn't too bad on aps. It comes out at 38-136mm Not sure if they still do something like that. There is a 24-70mm and the other one is probably around on the 2nd hand market. It was a popular lens. Actually it's what I use most often on my 300d. 5D too but I don't use that very often.

    There is a gain using full frame on APS cameras. Most lenses show light loss towards the corners. Seems to be increasing with time probably because it can be cured in software. On full frame a F2.8 usually wont behave itself fully until F4 or so. Central resolution is usually spectacular so again APS benefits. Poor old full frame user has to put up with some fall off. Don't think you would need to worry about resolution in reality but the light fall off can show up.

    I don't want to confuse you, but I have seen some good reviews about EF 28-135 IS USM (for istance on DxO mark comparison ef 28-135 vs EF 24-105)
    it's half the price of the 24-105 L, if ever you want to save some money and buy also the 70-200 at once.
    I haven't tried it, but perhaps someone nearby did it
    have a nice day

    I've had two 28-135's and neither was anywhere near as good as my 25-105. That's not to say they weren't good lenses, on the contrary, they were very good. The copy of the 24-105 I have is just that great in terms of optical quality.

    Ahmad:

    Stick with your decision to get the 5DII kit (with the 24-105 lens).

    You will not regret it.

    I bought my 24-105 with my 30D, and since then have added the 5DII - they go together very well. The only time I'm not using the 24-105 on the 5DII is when I'm using the TSE24II (but this is specialty lens).

    The IS on the 24-105 is still surprising me - shots hand held at 1/15 second don't bother me, and the build quality of this lens is really very good.
