Steller's Jay
Practicing with the new camera and new ball head. I was fairly happy with the focus on these. The bird was moving quickly from tree to tree before going for the corn cob I put out for them. I was never able to get an in flight shot. They were just too fast for me. C&C appreciated.
Edited to add: These were cropped from landscape orientation to portrait.

Excellent shots Terri, excellent. Has to be seen in lightbox at bigger size to better "see" the shots.
I like all 3 but #3 is the outstanding piece here.
You might want to lighten up slightly the darker neck/head/underbeak area - there is definitely detail there that can be "exploited".

Re: Steller's Jay
I aplaud you on these fine shots of a tough little bird to capture well. They love to stay moving and that is usually into a tree and from one brach to the next until they reach the top and onto the next. Well done.
