Early morning moonlight on the downs

I was up early to catch the full moon in the morning. I was trying to capture the light that it was putting onto the landscape. I excluded the moon from the picture as I haven't got a tripod so difficult to take multiple shots to merge later. I have to make do with precarious balancing on whatever's around. Lots of noise but I think the shot was worth it? Exposure was at 5 secs f/5.6. Comments and thoughts welcomed!

    Cheers for now

I'd agree. I've seen images with a lot more noise.

I do like the composition. That house at the bottom just anchors it very well.

I don't know if you have any plans for a tripod. It would open up a lot of options being able to expose a shot like this so that you don't get noise.

Yes, I agree with you Donald. It is certainly something that is in my thoughts but at the moment not affordable

Thanks for your comments about the composition. I don't think it totally reflects the light coming off the moon but all in all it worked out ok.

    Cheers for now

A nice image and for not using a tripod, Gary, very well done.

Nice image. Very impressive 5sec without tripod.
