    Tree and twilight

Light painting a tree after sunset with my flash. I took so many pics. Now I need new batteries, but it was fun.
A few strange looks by the beach wallahs, it is a dead tree after all.
This version (185kb) seems to show slight banding not apparent in the larger original (12Mb).

Gorgeous night sky. Very nice composition, though I'd like to see it without the green leaves on the left that extend way above the horizon. Gorgeous lighting of the dead limbs. The only real problem is the bright light in the bottom right corner. That's the first thing that I see and I don't think that's your intention.

    Lights, tree, action.
I actually lightened it for foreground effect, but too much.

I definitely like the second version much better -- both changes. A really nice image!

    Thanks for the encouragement Mike.
I need to do more late evening/twilight shots.

That works very well. A good example of painting the subject with light.

Considering the great quality of this photo, I should say so!
