Winter for some, Spring for others!

Okay, so Northern Winter nights may be coming for some but for others Spring has sprung to herald in Southern Summer beach barbies, partying on and all the fun in the sun doing all we did throughout Winter anyway! You just have to live on the right side of the equator
Anyway, here is a misty Spring sunrise taken from our bed room window. It was a bit of a gamble shooting straight into the sun. I don't own any filters. Wouldn't know how to use them properly even if I did. So I improvised and waited until the tree sort of blocked things a bit. The main effect I was after was the light streams and the mist effect.

Hi Ken

This image makes me start singing Jimmy Barnes' Flame Tree in my head (I mean this as a compliment as any image that can immediately bring a tune forward must be powerful). I like the misty feeling and although the sun is so very stark I am drawn to keep looking at it.

Ken I like it but my memory said I had one that was just as good - my memory was wrong I much prefer yours even though mine was taken in Oz (northern NSW)
I suppose taken by a Kiwi in NSW it never had a chance against a shot from Victoria.

I've still one month with average temp over 25°C when the sun shines, and less than one rainy day per week. it's enough for a beach season that starts on may!
and the rest? the snow falls very soon on the Alps mountains...
