Northern Iraq from the air
Whenever I flew across the Middle East, Iraq used to be avoided but nowadays I fly over it whenever I travel back to Europe. The landscape is very different - here are a couple of shots showing how desolate it is on a early wintery morning. Maybe it could do with a little more contrast, but I've already increased is over the slightly hazy colour originals (I was at 40,000ft, after all!) Either way I liked the shadows and patterns from the early morning light.
