Gullfoss in May
I have been slowly working my way through the images I took this May, as the weather was not the greatest for picture taking, it has tough getting them to something worth while viewing. This image is from Gullfoss, and what I liked most of was that one solitary rock sticking out from that rageing water. I some ways it is like the Icelandic people, I am here, no matter what you do, I am not going. As there was little colour I decided to go with B&W as it gave the image more drama.
Cheers:

Allan - That's a powerful bit of work. I think you've done a magnificent job of capturing the energy and vibrancy of the water. Any longer on the shutter and it owuld have become all fluffy a 'pretty'. As it it it retains, I think, a raw power.
I couldn't get Exif data so don't know what your settings were.
You've made a superb job of this. Well done.

I agree with Donald. A terrific image in every aspect. Unfortunately, I didn't get to Gullfoss.

Re: Gullfoss in May
Thank-you Donald it took sometime to get the right feel I wanted, I shot the image at f11, 100 ISO, exposure 1/8", exposure compensation 2.33, with a 16-85mmDX on a D7000.
Mike use the image as an excuse to return next year.
Cheers:
Allan
