    Inspired by Sharon (DaisyMae)

Well, it's not a flower, I was inspired by the technique of some of her postings.
The original photo was slightly blurry, so instead of just dumping it, I found some possibilities there.
I reduced the clarity to -100% in LR and then created a background to blend in the luna moth.
Not quite up to Sharon's expertise, but I did like the way this came out. (Lots of trial and error before I finally got to this)
    C&C welcome as always.

As so you should. That's got a real haunting, ethereal feel to it.

I'm not sure if Sharon has loaded up with mobile technology this week. I know she's away on the island of Mull, off Scotland's west coast for a holiday/vacation. So, if she doesn't see it, you need to draw her attention to it when she gets back.

Thanks Donald - I hope she has a great time on her vacation!

I like this also and greatly admire your creativity. The bright light in the bottom half is a bit much for me, but you probably had specific reasons to make the image that way.

No particular reason - and I can probably do some burning to reduce the brightness.
Making textures is really a lot of fun and I liked this one. Blending with the under laying photo actually increased the brightness.
    I'm not done playing yet......

    You go girl!

I have just seen this ( as Donald said I was in the hinterland)... and I love it. It has a terrific underwater 'feel' to it.
I am so glad you are having fun with textures and while they can make a slightly dodgy shot into something worthwhile they can also make a good shot something great so consider them in all circumstances. You will quickly get the knack for what works best for you.

    Look forward to seeing more.

    Enjoy and keep on creating!

    Thanks for the encouragement, Sharon.
This was a first for me. I love creating back grounds and textures, but it's a lot harder to find suitable subjects for them. But your technique is so intriguing I will keep trying.
Hope you had a great vacation!
