OH WOW! How did you do that?
Gretchen,
A mono conversion from silver efex pro 2 - Pin hole.
A mist layer of white noise
Opacities played with and blend modes
Layer masks added

Sorry, doesn't work for me at all...the contrast is 'unusual' and very grey and undefined.
The main petal is blown.
I use SEP so am inerested....was it a preset? If so what?
Sorry, just saw it was pinhole

I like the effect on the petals and the stamen, but the effect doesn't work for me on the more background areas of the image. I would prefer that area to be much darker, rather than grey and washy. I definitely think it has potential though :-)
I love it!
Hi there.
I have to agree with Gretchen here. I totally love this shot. It is soft, subtle and very alluring. In fact if it were in a store I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it and hang it on a wall.
Fabulous work David
Sorry, doesn't work for me at all...And that's the great thing about a forum such as this where we can exchange ideas and concepts and experiment. Some will work for some people and some won't and, in a rare moment, something will work for everybody.I totally love this shot.
Keep experimenting, everyone.
I am sorry David, it doesn't work for me either.
But as Donald mentioned how fascinating it is not to agree!
OH DAVID
rework the original with some selective colorization --make the dark parts eggplant in color and fade the color a bit in to the midtones. . . . .maybe black/green on the edges of the leaves with a hint of green fading inward . . .
Would be soooo cool!
Mrs W... has just seen my spelling ....Lilley for Lilly. I am now in the corner with a conical hat bearing my initial "D"...
Well bottom of the class again at 60!!
