Sunrise

I thought I would share the colours of this morning's sunrise. Taken from my front door.

Hi John, the sunrise is interesting but is being overwhelmed by the foreground. Partially because there isn't a single focal point in the sky, you immediately start to pick out the tall palm, then the telephone pole and wires, then the house and car. By the time you start thinking about what kind of car it is, the impact of the scene has been lost.

Sunrise and sunsets happen daily. To make the most of them you need to scout out a foreground and/or depending upon the scene, background and be ready at that location when the colours start to pop in the sky (and reflections, if available).

On the other hand, I would love to be able to experience sunrise this out my front door as the foreground isn't likely to be even noticed when you are standing there.
