    Purple Gallinule...

    This is a bird I have been trying to photograph for a long time. Always it was far away or deep in the vegatation, or the angles and lighting was wrong. Last Monday that changed. It is a bird native to the southeastern United States and South America. I find the colors absolutely gorgeous. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    I really like this bird! I think I like his posture in the 2nd picture best. The first one seems like a better exposure tho. Thanks for sharing!

    But I rather like the inquisitive look in #1, and the background is darker, as Gretchen mentioned.

    Thank you for viewing and commenting Gretchen. I took your suggestion and looked at the exposure of image #2 and pasted the settings from the first image. The lighting was the same as being taken only seconds apart.

    That is a lovely bird and as usual patience and persistence pays off.

    Great shots in 1 and 2.

    Now go back and get us more....
