    Mauritius

Here are a few snaps from Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. I had the chance to fly in a microlight seaplane during our visit which was good fun and a good photo op. Unfortunately the flight was delayed until the afternoon, by which time most of the coast we were flying along was backlit by the sun.

First up, here's the church at Cap Malheureux on the northern tip of the island - unfortunately I didn't have wider than 24mm on a crop sensor with me at the time:

Mauritius away from the beaches - lots and lots of sugar cane and the mountainous interior

And even the hotel beaches are public, so locals come to fish in the early morning

What a gorgeous place. I'd give my right thumb to fly that little seaplane. Thanks for sharing those.

Thanks Kevin - great little aircraft to fly in - tricky to photograph from though!
