    ExpoDisc

Has anyone try or are using the ExpoDisc. Seems it might be a handy tool to have.

Hi Paul, I have actually read a bit about it. Seems like it would come in pretty handy, but at $100, I think I'll stick with my Grey card and shoot in RAW!!!

The camera shop where I deal has them on in the half price bin for several months - because nobody bought them, and they're trying to get rid of them.

I suspect they are are somewhat of a gimmick.

I had an Expodisc and only used it a couple of times. You are supposed to take your reference shot from the position of the object, etc. that you will be photographing for it to work properly.
Easier to use a grey card.

    Have a guess :)

    Re: ExpoDisc

They're hopeless when you're trying to use them in conjunction with fill flash (which is a lot of what I do), because you need to shoot into the ambient light to get the reference shot - and that is just plain awkward when flashes are involved.

    Grey card for me everytime!

PS: I've got 2 of them -- and never use either of them!
