    Hi Roger, although I like it, the log at the right may be distracting for some folks. You might want to experiment with a 1:1 ratio (square) crop and see what you think.

    If Donald MacKenzie chimes in, he may have more thoughts on this and he is the undisputed master of the why, when and how to apply the square crop technique.

    I think it is a beautiful image. I love the detail in the feathers and that the water is calm enough to reflect some of those details. The only comment I would make about the crop is that I generally like to have more space in front of an animal than behind. Frank's suggestion for a square crop is a good possibility, I think.
