A rare occurrence. Nice collection of images. Reach for the Sky must have been painful to accomplish!

Hey Phil - I've been admiring your work from afar, and figured I should comment. Very impressive B+W images. I like them a lot. Do you mind if I ask which software you're using to process to B+W?

What impresses me are the mid tones in these images...
I wonder if a bit more contrast would be even better...

    This one is a must

Thanks for your comments, guys. I'm processing from RAW using ACR in Photoshop CS5, then using a little Nik Software Color Efex and Silver Efex.

These are early black and white conversions, Antonio - I developed my processing a little since these.

Nice Cambodia shots on your site, by the way!

    Re: Streets without people

I suspected you were using Nik products.
    I also us them
You make a combination of Color Efex and Silver, right ?

You do it very well !!
Thank you for your compliment on my photos from Cambodia.
But what do you think about my portraits or even my Street Photography - India ?
I am interested to know your sincere opinion if you please. Sorry if I am bit highjacking your thread...

Great Indian street images. They have to be one of the most photogenic nations on Earth, and always seem to stare through the lens and through you. Silver Efex has brought a lot of consistency to the set too.

I have a few threads over the past week or so in the People and Pets section of this forum with some street candids etc. Not many Indians, but mainly Pakistani, Yemeni, Emirati, and Omani subjects in there

Thank you Phil for your comment

One day - and I think it will not be in many years - they will have enough of people taking their pictures and then...
