Silver prints

I am trying to sell some of my photos. Just had someone recommend that I do a silver print on some of them, and much to my embarrasment, I have no idea what they are talking about it (I did nod approvingly, though) and how a silver print would be better than a glossy or matte print. Any tips?

I went on the internet and googled Silver print and got several hits. Rec. you should try this.
