A bug flying (With 18-55 lens)

Hi. Was visiting a local park to shoot other themes but them I found some bugs flying nearby and tried to capture them with a 18-55 lens. I know this is not the proper lens for such type of subject but after struggling for some minutes, I came up with this. Considering the lens, I think it is not bad, but any tips about how could I do it better using this 18-55 (3.5/5.6) VR Nikon Lens would be appreciated! Thanks for viewing.

    Hi Otavio,
I agree, with an 18-55mm lens I think you captured some good shots. I think cropping a bit tighter might be worth considering; something like this maybe; what do you think?
    Thanks for sharing.

Hi John. I was a little affraid that a tighter crop would ruin the details, as it was already considerably cropped. But you showed I had not reached the limited yet. It is really better the way you suggested. Thanks.

    Otavio,
I see you've got the hang of D5100 and I think you did a great job of photographing a flying insect using a lens with a maximum focal length of only 55mm.
John did a great job when improved one of your photos.
    Congratulations.
    Antonio.

Thank you Antonio. I am glad you liked it. Still trying to get the hang of the camera. So far, I am happy with it. Cheers...
