Yes it is the new twin span from Slidell into New Orleans East. They built it much higher than the old one I suppose to help keep it above any more tidal surges from hurricanes. It is six lanes and much better as it lowers the amount of traffic backed up in either direction making for a much faster trip into and out of New Orleans.

Good clarity there, Carl, and surprising amount of depth for only F5.

Personally I would do a 2:1 wide format crop to show the dimensions of the bridge. I think I would choose the upper part of the picture without the broad poles in the foreground.

    bye

    Thanks Geoff,
I shot these from a tripod and bracketed for HDR (-2, 0, +2) and ran it through the new HDR EFEX Pro2 software that I have on trial. It is a much better software than their previous HDR software. I then backed way off on the tone compression and lightened the exposure along with some other adjustments in LR4 till I was happy with what I ended up with.

    Thanks for your input Robert,
But I was more after the clouds than the bridge and the poles were there and I think they gave something to the image.

I did try cropping it differently but it just did not look like what I wanted.

    Again Thanks for your thoughts.
