    Virtually unbreakable waterproof equipment box.

Saw this mentioned on a wildlife photo forum which I use.

Don't know anything about it other than the specs here.

The sizes work out comparable to my Lowenpro Mini Trekker, and it seems to have shoulder straps to carry like a backpack.

Not sure how comfortable that would be though.

They say it is strong enough to stand on. That would certainly be an eye opener amongst other photographers - standing on your camera bag to get a better shot!

And waterproof to 5 meters. But if I suddenly found myself at that depth I might not be thinking about photography.

Handy if you dropped it into a river or overboard from a boat though - ideal for nearby craft!

Price seems rather low for something which sounds so good.

Has anybody used this box; or something similar?

I use a Pelican case, which is somewhat similar. Waterproof and very durable. haven't tried standing on it. It does not have straps--it's basically a suitcase with adjustable foam liners.

I have one (Type 85) which is one size smaller. At the demo the fair sized salesman jumped on it.Surprizingly not too uncomfortable when carrying on back.Bought it for dustproof feature.I do sit on it when there are no chairs around.

I don't know if this will be of help to you guys but I found a company that sells long waterproof tube holders for the roof rack of my car. Mine is just over 2 metres long and I use it for a lighting bar and tripod as my car is not that big inside. I think they do a few other lengths as well. Hope that helps http://vangadgets.co.uk/

Geoff, I did not see a pic of what you are talking about here...the image, it says, is not available.

Well the original post was over two years ago so it is possible they don't make it anymore, or just do limited productions, if it isn't a major earner for them. Maybe someone else has taken over the idea?
