Rain on Lake George

Hi,

This is a photo of Lake George in NSW on a windy and rainy day, I managed to get out a get some shots between the showers. I have processed the image using Luminance HDR and some final touch ups in PS. I like the photo and am happy with the results but would appreciate some feedback and thoughts on things that I may not be seeing that may bring some further enhancements. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, it is a single image HDR, so I suppose technically it would be called tone mapped.

Hi Jason.

I saw your picture in the mini-comp. It was an instant vote from me.

What I think I pity in it, are the trees on the front. They attract too much attention to my opinion. A kind of panorama view without the trees could be an enhancement, but that's just how I see it.

I'm interested in the originally one. Although lots of people disagree with me, I mostly like "normal" pictures much and much more than the tone-maps ones. To me is tone mapping a kind of a hype.

That, I think, is a much, much stronger image.

Whereas the original was brash and a bit 'in-your-face' (which is something a lot of people like), this, for me, is far more gentle and subtle. More 'sophisticated' if you like.
