    Daddy Longlegs

I'm not sure why they call these Daddy Longlegs when most spiders are supposed to be female. This one had setup camp at the center of a caladium leaf. Its a lot easier to photograph insects that dont fly - this one didnt move the entire time I was taking its picture. Sony A350 on a tripod. 50mm macro lens, natural light. f/16, ISO 400, 1/10s.

    Nice sharp shot John,

At least the location also gave you an uncluttered background.

This type don't move that fast (ever) in my experience.

    Cheers,

Lovely shot, John and - as Dave said - a nice, uncluttered background.
