    Embarcadero Center

These are Embarcadero Buildings in Financial District. I walk by these buildings many time until last week I need to cross the bridge from this building to another building to go to the dinner with friends and this skyline caught my eyes and gave me some ideas. Which one do you like the most?
Feel free to give your comments and suggestion. Thank you

I like the first one, over the second, however I do not like the tree. I placement of the two towers to me feels better.

I agree that the first one would be the best of the two if you would eliminate the tree.

    Re: Embarcadero Center

Hi guys, Thank you very much. I have a question. Is it distractive to keep the tree? Actually, there is the tree in the second picture and I removed it and I didn't like it because I think without the tree, it may make my picture boring so I keep the tree on the 1st picture to make my picture more interesting. Thank you for your suggestions.

I think removing the tree works, it distracts slightly. You get a bit of a wide angle effect this way, which is nice. You can try to crop away that last peace of dark as well I guess, to let that building start in the corner instead of just beside it.

    Hi phugiay,

I think it is better without the tree and I do basically prefer #1, well, #3 now.

However, I am not sure what you started from, but I think I would have composed/cropped differently - with some key verticals from the buildings going right into the corners. I can't say it, I'd have to 'play' with alternatives until I found one I liked.

    Cheers,

Reminded me of a pic I had taken a couple of months back in almost similar circumstances. Walking along, looked up, saw the 2 buildings, and took a couple of shots.

I like the fact you took these at night. Mine might have turned out better with the windows all lit up like in yours.

I agree that now that the tree has been removed, you need to use a different crop.
