I picts rised this beautiful shot with nice white border,in a subtle wooden frame, in a nice room of a 5 star hotel. Very soothing.
What you can do in that little window with an empty saki jar and a flower from a "bedraggled garden" is outstanding!!! We have had our share of rain in the Land of 10,000 Lakes ( and a few puddles); Duluth has been declared a disaster area after 10 inches of rain caused flash flooding. The end result was destruction of roadways, homes washed away, and the accidental release of a polar bear!! There was a pair of seals heading for Lake Superior. http://www.bwcaboard.com/board/viewt...5&p=7511#p7511

Beautiful flower arrangement and processing. But is not the jar proportionally a bit on the large size?
Thank you Sahil and randy.
Bobo, possibly it is but this is a macro shot and the vase and flower are tiny. Don't have a smaller vase that would work. On reflection I would have preferred to leave the vase out but the stem of the flower is very twisty and refused to co operate with clamps etc.
There is certainly a soothing mood to the picture. Such an interesting flower..I just love seeing with the camer what is too small to appreciate with the eye.
The flower by itself ?
Thank you Muriel.
Yes Bobo but I didn't wannt it laid flat and as I say the twisty, narrow stem meant clamping didn't work and I don't know the magic word for 'hover in mid air'![]()
I think the jar makes the picture even more interessting than the flower alone. A very calm picture. Just the right impression after a frantically busy working day.

Thanks Robert.![]()
And obviously saki, as well![]()
