    A hairy butt

My wife wasn't too keen on me posting a close up of her's here, so I guess this will have to do.

    Hi Mark,
I was a bit apprehensive about opening this thread, when I saw the title; but curiosity got to me in the end.
Well, I’m glad I did. This is a very sharp and cleverly composed picture.
Nothing much too say other than Well done.

    Mark,

How long have you had the MP-E65? What are you using for lighting with it?

    Hi Bill

I've had it for a few months now. It has opened up a whole new world for me. I use it with a Canon MT 24 EX.

    Mark,

I use the same flash with my MP-E65 as well. I picked mine up back in December of last year and after the initial growing pains, I'm really starting to love it. I've kind of started a nice jumping spider portfolio in the last couple weeks of my P52 thread with it.

I only wish the EXIF data could tell me what the magnification used for a photo after the fact - I'm not very good at recording it manually.

    Hi Bill

I haven't worried too much about recording the magnification. I've just been trying to get a handle on the super narrow DOF and also getting familiar with actually using the lens. I took a few photos in my studio using 5X magnification. It was much more tricky than using the 1x. I used a focussing rail and used Liveview 10X magnification to focus. I'll post an example later.
