    I have seen both teams perform and have to say the Blue Angels have more colourful aircraft

    Very good shots Jim, what lens did you use, also did you have to crop by very much?

    Hi Keith,

    Used a Canon 100-400IS.Very slight crops on these photos,maybe 5% at the most.My first show with the lens.

    you managed to get that close with 400mm? surely not full frame in that case?

    Jim, I noticed on that new photo that the planes had propellers that had not been 'frozen', did you pan using the IS with a slow-ish shutter speed so that the propellers appeared to be rotating?

    Keith,

    Yes,IS helps a lot.The shot above is at 1/160".This one is at 1/200".
