My only guess is that you might need to update CS5, but tbh I don't use it, so I might be wrong here.

Hi Mario,
That's a bit puzzling... CS5 has no problem opening them from my D7000... they open in ACR first, then I select 'open image' and they open in CS5.
As Peter says, you may need to update CS5 / ACR. I just found this on the Adobe forum - see Yammy's post (#8). He says ACR 6.3 was the earliest version to support D7000 raw files.
