I knew the sun wouldn't last...

We have been having some really nice weather for May, it came to an end today. On the good side I did not have any images of Heron in the rain until today. C&C always welcome. ISO 400 F8 @ 1/160thsec 400mm

Nice shot. A small price to pay to keep things green around here

I like it Paul - even though the bird doesn't appear to like it much ! Very candid shot and the rain adds an interesting touch.

Thank you Dave. I like the rains effect on the image as well and is really why I took the shot. Even why I used the shutter speed I did so the rain had some movement. A little bit of a pain handheld at 4oomm.

Paul, your bird shots are absolutely amazing (yes, ALL of them). This one is another
great shot, especially for the conditions. From the look on the Heron's face I would
guess he's not too thrilled with the rain either! I knew the sun wouldn't last...

It looks like it's in a bad mood, and is about to stomp something to death.

He did have some character Arlen, I don't think he was to happy. Took flight and yelled at me on the way. Guess I overstayed my welcome.
