The Gosling Quad
I was out and about last night after wrk just as the sun was getting quite low, made for a few good ops but most where too shadowed to even shoot. These are the couple images that I liked. Little better DOF than in my "just for smiles" thread. C&C always welcome. Better to view in the lightbox. Enjoy

Re: The Gosling Quad
Lovely expressions in the top one if you are into putting human characteristic into animal behaviour. With young bossyboots sounding off and oh I'm bored beside him ... not again looking away
And Oh I'm camera shy in the bottom photo.

Re: The Gosling Quad
Thanks guys, I thought the first looked a little like he was yelling at the class.

Re: The Gosling Quad
Nice shots Paul.
Hopefully will still have some small ones to shoot when I get back in about 2 weeks.

Re: The Gosling Quad
Hi Paul,
Yes, good Depth of Field (and focusing), all the more appreciated by me today as I just deleted some I took because I shot at f/8 when it needed much more (will I never learn?).
Cheers,

Re: The Gosling Quad
It's the colour and the tone that I particularly like. Super stuff.

Re: The Gosling Quad
Paul,
these are both great shots, but No.2 for me is fantastic.
This is the type of sharp / detailed shot I strive to produce; one day perhaps, for now I can only dream.
Well done.

Re: The Gosling Quad
A couple of great pictures Paul. I took some yesterday but wasn't able to capture nearly the detail that you did. What size lens were you using?

Re: The Gosling Quad
Thank you everyone!
Bob I used a Sony 70-400G. Since I bought it in Febuary I have found it difficult to remove from the body. Infact I have not posted a shot from another lens since. I did remove it for 30 minutes today however.
John...stick with it, it will come!

Re: The Gosling Quad
Hi Paul, well done I like #2 because of the detail, colour and catch light. Where has that one youngster got his head?
#1 also good but there are three spots of light that attract my eye.

I love the way your images always seem to have a fascinating story to tell and these are no exception. I enjoy looking forward to seeing your postings Paul!

Re: The Gosling Quad
Thank you Clive. I did see those, completely forgot to take care of it.
Thank you for that Frank. I try to give the image a little life in my capture, sometimes I get the shot and many times it just falls flat. It is a fun challenge though.
