    When night becomes day

    Hello,

The following image was captured at night with the aid of a first quater moon. All in all, I'm pretty happy with how it came out considering the lack of light to set up the shot with.

All comments very welcome. It may still need some more processing.

    When night becomes day

    C20d - exp 12.5 min, ISO-200 F/4.5

Very well exposed lane and trees.

    Hello JK,
Thanks, there were no filters used, In fact I do not have any yet. Thats an area where I will have to quiz people like yourself on.
I noticed you have some amaizing images on your site.

This is a very nice picture. Can you tell me how long of your exposure time for this?

    Thanks,

    Yan

    I'd guess about ...

    ... 12 1/2 minutes? (how'd I do?)

    Nice work Rodders.

I will trump Colin's amazing perception and guess you were set at ISO200, F/4.5

Your good son - but I'm going to play my 5th ace, and say that it was shot with a Canon 20D (and no, I didn't check the exif data!)

Considering light (gauged by shutter speed it must be almost exclusively lit by moon) it's well focused at that aperature. I presume some of the blur to the trees is more to do with their movement, unavoidable in long exposure. I love night shots, especially dark ones I know that sounds like a stupid comment but you know what I mean. Unfortunately I cannot take them easily since my cam is limited to 15sec in single exposure.

I'm intrigued how you guessed that without exf data colin, how you manage that? (ah I now notice the c20d, I didn't click that was cam model number)
