    Bee to a Flower

    Hi,

This is one that I thought I had lost when I managed to wipe my hard drive. This is one of my first photos I took when I first got my 50mm. I was trying to catch a bee in flight but seeing as the lens is manual focus did not think I would succeed, I got lucky.

    Cheers

Very nice shot. Is that a butterfly just below the bee ?

    Thanks Bobo,

No, no butterfly just some leave doing a very good impersonation.

Jason, you were indeed lucky - to catch the bee not only in flight, but also on a part of the scene where the bee's background is not too busy. The image as a whole might benefit from an adjustment - for me, the colour balance is slightly too warm.

    G'day Philip,

Thank you for the comments and thoughts. I had not even thought about the warmth of the overall photo but once I tried some adjustments I am going to have to agree with you, it was a bit too much. I have attached a redone effort to see what you think.

    Cheers

That now looks more natural to me, Jason. (Sorry for the delayed reply - have been off-line for a few days.)
