You're way ahead of us up here in the frozen north! The buds are there, bit not a lot else.

I'm afraid I find that unopened flower head at the top left of the group that cuts across the petal of the opened flower, to be a real irritant.

I wondered if the flowers could take just a little Local Contrast Enhancement to give them a bit more 'pop'? But that might be interfering too much with nature has given you (us).

The 2nd is definitely more like what you usually produce. I like it much better. But maybe the background could do with a bit more toning down.
