SmartEdge software

I'm new here, a resident of the central USA, and have been reading the tutorials. I am in constant need of doing significant size enlargement on digital TIFF files that are already large. I use PS bicubic smoother typically. I've seen the results of SmartEdge in the tutorials, and they are pretty impressive, but I understand that the software is still in development.

Does anyone know who is making this software, and when it might come to market? For the images I'm working with, Genuine Fractals doesn't do the trick and I'd love to be able to try out SmartEdge on my images.

Does anyone here have any information on this or other great software recommendations?
