    Both lovely, Jeff, but I do love the sheer simplicity of composition of the second one (which I consider to be testament to the skill of teh artist). I find myself increasingly attracted to what I feel is this 'less-is-more' type of image.

    it seems to me that the horizon in the #2 is leaning to the rght... isn't it?

    I checked the horizon before I posted it, & just rechecked it, and its OK, I think, it may just be the perspective giving that impression! Many thanks for the feedback

    I don't mind at all ! If you look at the foreground it's correct i.e. the left side, the right side is further away, & also curving away, and maybe this gives the impression that it's not level, if you look at the mountains behind the harbour moth wall they give more of a guide to the horizon.
