    Of the others, I'd suggest that you took on too much of a dynamic range in #2 and the camera couldn't be expected to deal with such a contrast between light and dark. I think the highlights are too bright and the dark areas are too dark.

    I think the third one is over-exposed. But again, the blacks are okay. (There's a theme emerging here about trying to do this shoot on a bright sunny day.)

    And, in my opinion, the first one, although the blacks at the side of the head have lost all detail, the engaging character and charm are strong enough to carry that.
